Listening watch

While operating a VHF radio-equipped aircraft, you must maintain a “listening watch” on the designated frequency from the time you taxi onto the manoeuvring area until you come to a complete stop at the end of your flight.

Additionally, when flying in the vicinity of a non-controlled aerodrome, it is required that you make necessary broadcasts to avoid potential collisions with other aircraft.
