Carriage of firearms

A person must not carry or posses a firearm on an aircraft unless:

  • a person is prescribed to carry the firearm on the aircraft as stated in the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004; and
  • the operator or the pilot in command has consented to the person carrying or otherwise possessing the firearm on the aircraft.

Discharge of firearms in or from an aircraft

A person must not discharge a firearm while on an aircraft unless the person is authorised under a CASR provision or a law of the Commonwealth to discharge the firearm on the aircraft.
